Our Penny Arcade
Many of our workers would have spent their annual holidays at the seaside, perhaps Bournemouth, Brighton or far afield to Margate!
On their holidays they may well have visited the pier and the penny arcade at the end of the pier.
To capture the essence of those times we have our very own penny arcade with over 30 machines, the earliest dating from the early 1900’s and include a laughing sailor, grab cranes, fortune tellers, automatons and all sorts of fascinating machines for our older visitors to remember simpler times and for our younger guests to have fun on pre-electronics games!
All the machines run off old pennies (6 pennies for £1.00 – that’s inflation for you!) and can be obtained from change machines or reception.
These machines are great fun are popular for our visitors of all ages.
