Please join us at The Bursledon Brickworks Museum at 2pm on Sunday 13th October for a talk by Fareham resident Martin Percival about the history of the famous red Fareham chimney pots.
Just as “Fareham Reds” were a hugely successful product for the local brickworks, Fareham chimney pots with their unique white slipmarks at the top of the pot, were a very popular product for the local Fareham area potteries in the Victorian era.
Before Martin’s talk do take a look at the museum’s chimney pots located upstairs in the museum on the first floor.
Martin will present for about 45 minutes and will then hold an open question and answer session for anyone wanting to know more.
Admission to the talk is included as a free of charge extra for all visitors joining us at the museum on the day.
