We are a volunteer run museum and rely heavily on the wonderful people who do so much to help us.

The Brickworks Museum is always looking for volunteers to support us with various projects, help with the archives and collections and work in the shop and on reception. Every volunteer offers invaluable support to the Museum

Volunteering at the Museum is a great way to meet new people. There are occasions for volunteers to meet socially, as well as plenty of opportunities to try new things.

Why not come and join the team? We don’t mind how much time you can give us – some of our volunteers come 2 days a week and some half a day a month – any time you can spare would be brilliant.

There are all kinds of tasks and skills needed and roles include:

  • front of house in the shop or at reception
  • collections volunteers
  • serving in the coffee shop
  • helping out with school and group visits
  • giving tours of the museum
  • undertaking building & engine restoration work

If you are interested in joining the museums volunteer team and would like further information please get in touch at info@thebrickworksmuseum.org.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Museum and don’t worry if you don’t have any previous experience of volunteering; we also want to hear from volunteers who can bring their own experiences and skills to the role.
