Winter closure

Halloween heralds the start of winter for the museum. In normal times it is one of our last steam-up events and then the museum closes. It seems early this year because we have hardly been able to open and the weather is not that cold.

However, working in the the old brickworks is not easy when temperatures start to drop. It is a time for physical work rather than manning reception desks!

This year we have plans to try and make more ground floor space available for our steam-up events. We don’t know what next year is going to bring. It might still mean limiting numbers and social distancing which is why we are trying to maximise areas we can use in our well-ventilated spaces. With luck we will be back in Spring and holding our monthly events once more so watch this space!
